The Oregon City Brewing Company is a testament to the American dream, our unwavering commitment to transforming a humble garage venture into a dynamic cornerstone of our beloved community. Born and raised in Oregon City, I couldn't ignore the downturn that saw our Main Street pockmarked by vacant storefronts while shoppers flocked to impersonal malls and retail giants. The 2009 Blue Heron Paper Company closure during the Great Recession cast a deeper pall over our city. But amid adversity, we recognized an undercurrent of untapped potential, a city poised for rebirth. With the Oregon Trail's End and the majestic Willamette Falls as our backdrop, all that was missing was a spark to reignite our downtown's allure.

On November 15, 2014, Oregon City Brewing Company breathed new life into the Stout Motors building, a historic space with a storied past – once home to ambulances, martial arts gyms, and even a carpet store. Embarking on this journey felt like jumping off a cliff and building a plane on the way down. Yet, our relentless effort revitalized every nook and cranny of the property, and our vision took flight. In 2021, our brewery achieved national acclaim as one of the top 10 breweries in the country by the U.S. Open Beer Championship. Today, we proudly embody the American entrepreneurial spirit and Oregon City's resurgence, crafting a vibrant downtown that beckons as a food and beverage destination.
